PASTORAL NEEDS. Message from Gary McDowell.

The Presbytery have appointed me to convene a commission which will guide the congregation through the procedure to find a new minister. Throughout the vacancy we will endeavour to keep you informed regarding the progress which has been made and the next steps in the procedure. During the vacancy I will supervise pastoral provision for the congregation. Anyone who needs the services of a minister may contact me, Gary McDowell, on 085 871 4786 or  01 201 7354.

Church BBQ. Thank you to all who helped with and came to the BBQ. We raised just over euros 2800 which will be divided between Arklow Cancer Support and the Presbyterian Orphan and Children’s Society. Thank you all.   

Holiday Bible Club. 6 – 10th August. The theme is Maker Fun factoryCreated by God, Built for a purpose. Small items for prizes would be very welcome. The church will be funding the leader’s lunches again this year. If you would like to contribute to that please see Aleida.

Tray bakes are always appreciated by the leaders. If you would like to bake goodies these can be left into the kitchen during the week of Holiday Bible Club. Thank you.

 

PRAYER FOCUS FOR JULY

  • For the sick, the elderly, the lonely, those who mourn and any who are struggling with life or concerns about the future.
  • For all who are away on holidays, that they will have a restful, refreshing break.
  • That we will all work together to keep the church family strong and vibrant during the vacancy.
  • For safety for all children during the summer holidays.
  • For Gary our convenor as he leads us in the coming months.
  • That God will prepare the heart of the person He has planned to be our next minister.
  • For the preparation work for the Holiday Bible Club and for all the children who will attend.
  • For a solution to the refugee crisis, that they may be welcomed and find new homes.
  • For real and lasting peace throughout the world especially in the middle east.
  • For blessing and strength for our fellow Christians in countries where they are persecuted.
